Before you call
It helps to have:
- Your nearest town or cove and your address, so the right contractor gets the request
- The job: a new floating dock, a lift, repairs, a relocation or new decking
- Your boats: type, length and any jet skis
- Whether you already have a GRDA dock permit, a survey or drawings
- If the dock has power, and whether you're buying or selling the property
Dock damaged or listing? Stay off it, switch off the dock's power at the disconnect, and move the boat only if you can do it safely. Then take photos before anything is moved.
